Born out of a need to create more environmentally conscious products and services, California-based Bellwether Coffee has developed an eco-friendly coffee roaster to revoluntionzie the way coffee is roasted, distributed, and sold. The company recently secured $40 million in series B funding provided by DBL Partners -- Lyndon and Peter Rive.
According to the company, Bellwether Coffee's new coffee roaster is able to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90 percent compared to traditional gas-powered roasters thanks to the business' decision to ship unroasted coffee beans to centralized roasting facilities.
