Recycled Industrial Waste Seating

The 'Bell Chair' Has a Sustainable Yet Functional Design

The 'Bell Chair' has been designed by Germany-based industrial designer Konstantin Grcic for Italy-based furniture brand Magis as a eco-friendly take on the humble plastic chair. The seat is achieved with recycled polypropylene that has been sourced by Magis from its furniture production facilities as well as the local car industry to make use of waste materials. This enables the chair to use minimal components, while also putting a focus on a recyclable, versatile and affordable plastic seating solution.

The 'Bell Chair' weighs in at 2.7 kilograms and is specially designed to be well-suited for shipment on delivery pallets to accommodate up to 24 chairs at a time to help reduce transportation volumes and lower costs.
