Recording Lipstick Tubes

With its Beautiful Lips campaign, Korea's O HUI cosmetics brand is making it so that people can deliver messages to loved ones with a "digital lipstick."

Although the Digital Lipstick tubes might not look too unusual, the cosmetic packagign doubles as a tool to record a message for someone. The lipstick-shaped recorders come in packs of two, so that a couple can record a secret message for each other. After the messages have been recorded, the two tubes can be placed side-by-side and the messages will be played. Additionally, when they are brought together, the tubes will start blinking an LED color that matches the color of the lipstick inside. With Valentine's Day on the horizon, this is a neat marketing stunt to play up the romance of cosmetics, kisses and heartfelt words.
