The Baynote 'Joy of Clicking' examines virtual consumers' preferences when it comes to online shopping. Due to the increased use of online mediums for purchases, it is crucial for retailers to create user-friendly sites in order to enable a convenient and pleasant experience.

According to this study, 75 million people engage in online purchasing, and 50% of them make one to two purchases, while the other fifty percent purchase anywhere from three to six or more items.

The increased use of smartphones has also led to purchases being made via mobile devices, in fact, eight percent of users are using this medium. It is no surprise to hear that 86 percent of online shoppers are happy with their experiences. Factors such as free shipping and special online discounts make it an attractive option.
