Steaming Toaster Ovens

The Balmuda offers a different approach to toasting bread by including an inlet for water so that baked goods can be steamed for a crispy outside and soft center. Notably, the version of the Balmuda Toaster that's available to consumers in the United States isn't the same one that's sold in Japan. According to the brand, the appliance has been adapted to suit "local bread culture" so that the US version of the toaster can work with artisan bread and pizzas.

On the toaster, there are settings for sandwich bread, artisan bread, pizzas and pastries, plus three modes for setting popular oven temperatures. The brand also notes that the appliance can be used to prepare everything from cookies to mini lasagna.
