Peanut Allergen Aptamers

Ayass Bioscience Designs a Solution to Neutralizes Peanut Allergens

Ayass Bioscience has designed a new solution that claims to neutralize peanut allergens on a surface, helping prevent severe reactions for those with allergies to the substance. Using aptamer, this unique product targets and binds itself to the peanut proteins Ara h1 and Ara h2, which are the proteins responsible for triggering allergic reactions in humans.

With this technology, Ayass can prevent peanut-allergic consumers from experiencing a reaction, reducing the need for medical care. These aptamers also do not genetically modify the peanut, reducing concerns about foreign or invasive substances.

By harnessing this new technology, brands in the agriculture, food production, and sanitation sectors will be able to benefit by reducing the amount of allergens within their workspaces.
