How about Chucky meets Bridezilla? A Japanese robot company has devised the Wedding Bot, which they say should only be used to greet guests as they attend your wedding. The little bots are custom-built to resemble the bride and groom as closely as possible, and the robots have been pre-programmed to make appropriate responses to guest chatter.
So far, no karaoke version is in the works--but an English-language wedding robot is coming.
Implications - Definitely a new take on the traditional wedding reception, the bots ensure the bride and groom can grab those little envelopes and jet off on their honeymoon without so much as a goodbye or a thank you for coming. Mind you, that open bar may ensure your guests don't even notice you're gone!
