Multi-Modal Travel Apps

Arriva Has Released a Smart Mobility App for Public Transport In Europe

Arriva, a UK-based multinational public transport company, has announced the launch of 'glimble,' a smart mobility platform designed to connect passengers to multiple modes of public transportation, including shared transport and micro-mobility options.

The "all-in-one" app is Arriva's first-ever MaaS (Mobility as a Service) solution and will be offered exclusively in Europe. The new platform intends to make the passenger journey more intuitive by combining different modes of transport when planning, booking and paying for a trip.

This means that users can blend travel options ranging from e-scooter pick-ups to trips on the subway. So, for example, a user could begin their journey on public transport and, for its final leg, hop on a share bike, all of which will be managed via the gimble app.
