High-fidelity audio is typically reserved for extreme audiophiles, but Steel Series is hoping to bring the same quality to gamers with its new Arctis Pro line. The new headphones bear a striking resemblance to the previous entries in the Arctis Pro line and include the same clean lines, comfortable fabric-covered cups, sturdy steel headband and a soft strap that adjusts to fit the head. An improved driver design give the headphones the ability to produce sound up to 40kHz, though the human ear generally tops out at 20kHz.
While all the headphones in the gadget line feature impressive design specs, the wired Arctis Pro PC and Playstation 4 headset is the real star of the show. Powered by an ESS Sabre 9018 chip, an internal component typically found in audiophile gear, with support for 96kHz/24-bit audio. This upgrade ensures that the headset puts out peak performance and will give any gamer a competitive edge while playing.
