MoMA Will Have an Andy Warhol Skateboard Installation at Art Basel

The Museum of Modern Art’s (MoMA) Design Store has announced it will participate in the Art Basel art festival with an Andy Warhol skateboard installation.

MoMA has joined forces with South Beach's Delano Hotel in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The exhibit will also include additional artwork by Andy Warhol displayed alongside the iconic Campbell's Soup designed skateboard decks. Apart from the soup can designs, Warhols works like including triptychs with Gold Marilyn Monroe, Guns, Car Crash, Self Portrait and Detail of the Last Supper will be featured. Although the Andy Warhol skateboards are mainly a display, a special pop-up shop will have them available for purchase for only one day.

This exhibit marks the first time MoMA will be involved with Art Basel and perhaps hints at further involvement years to come.
