Google is readying to launch Android 12 as the 19th version of Android, and is expected to bring some welcome changes that will help users save on storage space.
To accomplish this, Google will introduce a new feature that hibernates apps that have not been in use, which follows up a similar feature launched for a previous version of the OS. In addition to automatically revoking app permissions, the updated feature will come with a toggle setting that will prompt users to free up space being used by the app. The feature can be applied to apps that haven't been used in a month's time, and will also prevent them from sharing data or other information without the user knowing.
