The unpredictability of wine makes Amelia Fais Harnas Artwork all the more breathtaking. A self-proclaimed "portrait artist at heart" Amelia Fais Harnas, is making faces out of wine stains.
The technique being used by Amelia consists of staining fabric with red wine then going over it with a wax resist. This helps to build the character's faces, by enabling her to lighten or darken the wine print. Then depending on the blend, Amelia may add emphasis with some embroidery.
As the artist describes there is a, "challenge [in] trying to control the unpredictable nature of wine bleeding through fabric." This unpredictability is what makes the individual pieces an original unlike the rest. Each piece swirls chaos and control into a divine nectar.
