AR-Based Eyewear Try-Ons

Amazon Fashion and Snapchat Partner on an AR Eyewear Shopping Lens

Amazon Fashion and Snapchat have launched a new virtual try-on feature that allows customers to test eyewear silhouettes from brands like Maui Jim, Persol, Oakley, and Costa Del Mar. The shopping lenses from Amazon Fashion will be accessible on its public Snapchat profile, in the Lens Explorer tool's For You and Dress Up sections, and in the Snap Camera Lens Carousel. Customers may click a link to buy eyeglasses in the Amazon Fashion store once they've found a product they like and want to purchase.

Over a billion fashion products have been ordered on mobile devices by Amazon users in the past year. According to the press release, Amazon now has access to Snapchat's 363 million active users and plans to capitalize on the company’s AR technology to allow customers to get a first-hand look at their purchases.
