Envestnet is adding a Canoe Intelligence document integration to Tamarac, allowing registered investment advisors to receive alternative investment tax files in the same portal they use for portfolio reporting. The link brings items such as K-1s and K-2s into Tamarac's Advisor Portal, and advisors can send them to client portals in one step.
More than two dozen firms that already use both Canoe and Envestnet's Tamarac can enable the integration at their discretion. Once active, documents are delivered via API (application programming interface) without manual uploads or re-entry on either side.
API delivery into Tamarac brings alternative investment paperwork into the same operating flow advisors use for public holdings. Single-portal access for advisors and clients narrows the handoff gap between document collection and client reporting, which can simplify private-market administration for advisory firms.
