Curvy All-White Apartment Buildings

Brooks + Scarpa’s Magnolia Hill Apartments are Modern Chic

An aesthetically pleasing all-white apartment building adorns the streets of Los Angeles, more specifically the Valley Village neighborhood which is located on the outskirts of the North American city. Envisioned, designed, and built by American architecture firm Brooks + Scarpa, the residential development captures the attention of passers-by with its wavy silhouette, a variety of openings and cut-outs, a textural facade, and a subtle see-through perforated aluminum screen. The all-white apartment building complex spreads across three floors and features some more intimate walkway between the volumes.

The idea behind the Magnolia Apartments was to create "a model for more compact, responsible urban living." This is an important consideration, especially since city centers are experiencing exponential population growth. The all-white apartment building by Brooks + Scarpa contains "both workforce and market-rate housing."
