Volvo has released the highly anticipated, all-new XC90, a hybrid edition vehicle. This all-electric vehicle is set to go on full public sale in 2019, with hybrid versions available in every car in its range.
Volvo hasn't released a whole gamut of details about the all-new XC90, but we do know that it will be similar in size to the S60, and will offer a range of well over 300 miles. This puts it in roughly the same class as the Tesla 2016 Model 3.
Interestingly, the release of the Volvo XC90 comes just as the Swedish automaker Hakan Samuelsson shared predictions that around 10 percent of Volvo sales over the next 2 years will come from the sale of electrified versions of cars. Clearly, this vehicle is designed to get Volvo up and running in that regard.
