Two things are particularly striking about the Alessandro Canepa Cut Radiator when considered at first glance. One is the minimalist yet magical look of the sculptural contemporary piece and the other is its capacity to fulfill two functions.
The unusually sleek heater comes in at least a pair of different models with roughly the same dimensions. One is designed to be installed horizontally and the other one vertically. The way that one is meant to mount the appliance on the wall is confirmed with the horizontality of the slits across the smooth metal panels. It's as if the planes are of soft a saggy material, allowed to gape as soon as a gash was made in the middle.
Aesthetically, the Alessandro Canepa Cut Radiator is intriguing. Practically, the piece doubles as a warming towel rack.
