The Jordan brand known for producing cutting edge basketball shoes stepped into the professional football ranks in a big way last week with the Air Jordan cleats.
Inspired by the Air Jordan XX8, the cleats were spotted on Michael Crabtree's feet as he played in a playoff game for the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Air Jordan cleats are decidedly minimalist in design, with no laces or zippers exposed at all.
The cleats feature a red and white exterior layer anchored by a large velcro strap. Even the teeth of these cleats are color coordinated in red and white. Underneath the outer shell is a bold lime green Lunarlon cushioning revealed by an asymmetrical zipper.
