Artificial Intelligence Dog Tracking

AI Technology Startup Megvii Uses Nose Prints to Find Dogs

Megvii, the Chinese based AI technology startup, is able to use AI to track dogs. The company has a new program that can recognize dogs using their nose prints. The company indicates it is able to recognize dogs if they are scanned using a phone camera.

The app asks users to photograph their dog's nose form a number of different angles, from there the app will be able to recognize the dog. Megvii has indicated it has a 95% accuracy rate, and it has used its app to bring 15,000 dogs back to their owners.

The AI technology startup says the technology can be implemented for other purposes. Megvii says its app can be used to monitor dog owners and find those who do not pick up after their pets.
