AI-Powered Gaming Upscaling

AMD Expands FSR 4.1 Across Gaming Devices

AMD is expanding ai-powered gaming upscaling through FSR Upscaling 4.1, bringing sharper visuals and smoother gameplay to a wider range of existing devices. The technology uses machine learning to reconstruct detailed images from lower-resolution frames, improving visual quality without requiring gamers to replace their hardware. Unlike its original release, which supported only newer Radeon graphics cards, the updated version reaches older GPUs and portable systems.

The expansion includes Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards, Ryzen AI Max processors, and selected gaming handhelds and laptops. AMD has optimized its INT8 model for older hardware while developing a more efficient version for lower-power devices. Xbox Series X|S compatibility is also planned.

By extending advanced graphics capabilities across multiple hardware generations, AMD could increase the value of existing devices while strengthening its gaming ecosystem and encouraging broader adoption of FSR technology.
