Lola is a Google Home-Powered AI Dog to Prepare Future Dog Owners

Designed to help prepare future pet owners, this AI dog is built using Google Home. Lola is an acoustic simulator device and accompanying app that mimics what it would be like to have a pet dog in your home. Using the API.AI tool, Lola is a talking dog robot that says out loud some of the bizarre things canines can get up to, like loud barking, expelling fluids indoors and chasing butterflies. The company behind the future parent-training mutt has also partnered with an organization that helps homeless dogs find permanent families called Dallas Pets Alive.

Although API.AI is typically seen as a tool for business, this AI dog shows more unexpected applications of the technology.
