During Afternoon Tea Week, Virgin Atlantic announced the launch of Afternoon Tea-quila, a Mexican-inspired afternoon tea experience with a lively twist. Backed by research that found 71% of Brits would choose Mexico as a top travel destination because of its vibrant food culture, Virgin Atlantic put together a spicy spin on tradition, celebrating its new route to Cancun.
On the menu designed by Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch Chef, Barry Vera, guests are treated to a mashup of quintessential Mexican and British fare. While the theatrical Earl-garita boosts earl grey with fiery chilli lime perfume, the Strawburrito lives up to its name as a strawberry burrito filled with lemon balm creme fraiche and dulce de leche.
The Afternoon Tea-quila experience is available for a limited time in August at Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch.
