YouthCare is a volunteer-based program that assists in the operations of adult daycare centers in Los Angeles. The initiative is launched by the Youth Movement Against Alzheimer's (YMAA) and it provides opportunities for making a difference, as well as skill-building, for the students at the University of Southern California.
YouthCare connects youth and the elderly, facilitating a balance and promoting acceptance through interaction. Volunteers will be able to not only help but to also get a better sense of where they want to take their career next.
The services offered by YouthCare to adult daycare centers are abundant -- from one-on-one partnerships between individuals with similar career interests and hobbies to Brain Boot Camp initiatives that are designed by the students.
