Facebook Has Started Implementing an Ad-Reporting Tool in the UK

Facebook has begun to roll out a new ad-reporting tool for Users in the UK. The tool allows users to report ads they believe to be scams. Flagged ads will be subsequently reviewed by Facebook's anti-scam department to evaluate the ad. Facebook has also allocated £3 million to deal with scams on the site, the resources will go to Citizens ADvbvice which is a financial charity.

The ad-reporting tool comes as a result of an incident that was brought to the company's attention regarding false cryptocurrency. Since then, Facebook has indicated it will increase efforts to combat scams on its site.

UK users of Facebook will be able to report an add, using the "Misleading or scam ad," button.
