Amid veteran designers of the fashion world, New York Fashion Week also showcased aspiring fashion dictators. In particular, seven designer disciples from the Academy of Art San Francisco showcased their talent at the Bryant Park tents.
Adopting a 1960s Mad Men ambiance, according to Ariston Anderson, "Each designer spoke to the theme, their individual collections reflecting their personal take on the era with futuristic Mod looks such as Jetsons cartoon-like shoulder pads, knitwear flowers, draped geometry and quilted Lurex."
Kudos to the Academy of Art San Francisco for producing some fine future designers to follow. I hope to see them next year as well!
