High-Performance Polycarbonate Textiles

Ultrafabrics' Spectra Fabric is Durable and Breathable

Inspired by the modern style of the Bauhaus movement, Ultrafabrics launches Spectra, a high-performance fabric that looks like hand-woven cloth. The textile, designed for upholstery jobs on chairs and couches, is made of polycarbonate–a group of thermoplastic polymers that are exceptionally durable. The prismatic property of the proprietary material creates a textured, cascading look that is elevated, contemporary, and full of character.

Due to the unique design and material choice, the high-performance fabric moderates body temperature while maintaining its shape. The unique nature of the fabric also offers notable acoustic benefits, allowing the fabric to absorb sound in noisy environments. Spectra is easy to clean and can even withstand harsher cleaning products like bleach. It comes in a diverse array of colors, ranging from conservative neutrals to bold brights.
