Large-Format Metal Printers

AMCM Expands Its Capacity For Its M 8K, M 4K and M 450

AMCM expanded its production capacity in Weilheim, Germany, to scale output of its large-format metal additive manufacturing systems, initially focusing on the AMCM M 450, M 4K and M 8K. The facility was developed with longtime partner Bauer Group and is located near AMCM’s headquarters in Starnberg and EOS’s German headquarters in Krailling.

The new site was completed roughly two years after the initial letter of intent and is designed to support production of AMCM’s largest machines. The company is also keeping the expanded capacity flexible for future custom systems and new models, reflecting its focus on bespoke machine development alongside standard large-format platforms.

For manufacturers and defense and space suppliers, the expansion could help support growing demand for large-format metal printing systems used for oversized and high-performance components. It also reflects increasing investment in regional production capacity for strategic additive manufacturing equipment.
