The 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad is a multi-platform wireless controller available for pre-order at USD 69.99, with shipments slated to begin on August 12, 2025. It offers broad compatibility out of the box, supporting Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, Windows 10 (1903+) and later, SteamOS, Android 13 and above, and Apple devices running iOS 26+, iPadOS 26+, tvOS 26+, macOS 26+, and visionOS 26+. Users can connect via Bluetooth, wired USB, or the included 2.4 GHz USB-C adapter, and the integrated charging dock maintains connectivity by automatically reconnecting the controller upon removal and replacement.
Key features of the Pro 3 include market-leading TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance) joysticks for enhanced precision and durability, dual-mode Hall Effect triggers switchable to non-linear microswitch operation, and swappable magnetic ABXY buttons that allow remodeling between Nintendo and Xbox layouts without tools. The pad also incorporates fast micro-switch bumpers (L4/R4), two programmable back paddle buttons, a tactile D-pad, and two arcade-style ball-top joystick caps. A built-in 1,000 mAh battery delivers up to 20 hours of playtime, and full customization—including macro assignment, stick and trigger sensitivity, vibration intensity, and profile management—is available through 8BitDo’s Ultimate Software V2.
