Cineplex Cinemas is offering a fully immersive viewing to film buffs in Toronto at its Yonge and Dundas location that will offer a 4DX experience. The multimedia service goes beyond conventional viewing and even 3D by adding motion and movement to further transport the viewer into the plot of the film.
4DX movie technology combines 3D viewing alongside movement to engage multiple senses in order to make the viewer feel as though they are inside the film and part of the action. The seats in the theatre will be mobile with effect such as weather element suited to each individual film. Consumers will be able to feel the movements to match the film with added scents as well to create a fully immersive experience.
While the ticket prices are more expensive than conventional viewing at $23 a piece, the experience is much more immersive and engaging.
