30-Minute Drone Deliveries

Walmart And Zipline Plan 300 New Drone Delivery Sites Across The U.S.

Walmart is expanding its drone delivery partnership with Zipline through a multi-year rollout that will add 300 sites across the U.S. The service allows eligible customers to order groceries and household essentials from nearby Walmart stores, with deliveries arriving in as little as 30 minutes.

Customers can check availability and place orders through the Walmart app or Walmart.com, then track their delivery as it heads to their yard or driveway. Eligible households can also order through the Zipline app. The aircraft fly at around 330 feet, lowering packages to the ground in a tethered pod rather than landing.

The companies have already completed more than two million deliveries since launching their partnership in 2021. The latest expansion will bring the service to more communities, using Walmart’s existing store network to support faster local deliveries.
