The FIFA World Cup 2026 is just around the corner and Nike is making headlines this year for using 100% recycled textiles to create its 2026 World Cup Kits.

Nike is already known for creating industry-leading technical garments and now these pieces are more sustainable than ever. Nike's 2026 World Cup Kits are made from the brand's breakthrough Aero-FIT technology, which is ultra-light, cool, and unrestrictive. What's notable about this year's kits, though, is that they are the first of the brand's elite performance apparel to be made from 100% textile waste. This helps to set new sustainability standards and reflects the brand's commitment to reducing its carbon footprint in the wake of climate change. As Venkatesh Alagirisamy, Nike EVP and COO, said in a recent press release, “Nike’s new Aero‑FIT kits for the 2026 World Cup mark the first time elite players will compete in uniforms made entirely from textile waste."
