From Toasty Celebrity Pictorials to Crumpled Celebrity Art

 - May 25, 2011
No matter what materials you use to make your art, you're bound to want to make something based on a famous person, and that's exactly what these artists who fashioned their very own celebrity portrait creations did.

Whether they're using burnt toast or they're piecing together mosaic masterpieces using bubblegum, these artists have created celebrity portraits that all have one thing in common; nailing the likeness and appearance of their respective subjects. Still, there are those who go the traditional route using simple paint; however, their execution is so masterful that it inspires awe amongst its viewers.

And let's not forget about celebrity photo portraits, which often times captures stars in their most candid and vulnerable states. A personal favorite of mine though has got to be Scott Blake's use of barcodes to craft such famous faces like the legendary Bruce Lee.
