It was recently announced by Xbox Game Studio's CEO Phil Spender that there is a new Xbox Series S edition. This announcement was made during the Summer Game Fest and the console will feature 1TB of storage, which is notably double the amount of the previous version.

The colorway is dubbed carbon black and features a sleek tonal look. It prepares to launch officially on September 1st and the highly sought out game Starfield will be arriving on September 6th shortly after. Xbox Senior Marketing Manager Bree Adams explains that "Whether you’re looking to upgrade from your current console or are new to Xbox, the Xbox Series S — 1TB offers you another option within the Xbox family of devices."
