Sony has unveiled the newest addition to its lineup of premium digital cinema cameras, the VENICE 2. The new cinema camera builds on its predecessor, the VENICE, adding a host of new features while maintaining its compact design.
New features of the VENICE 2 include internal recording and the option to swap between two sensors: the original 6K VENICE sensor or the newly developed full-frame 8.6K sensor. When equipped with the new 8.6K sensor, the VENICE 2 offers exceptional image quality with 16 stops of latitude. As a result, users can expect top-quality images, color separation, and shadow detail.
In addition, the VENICE 2 comes with a dual base ISO of 800/3200 that allows users to capture clear images in a wider range of lighting conditions. The new camera is scheduled to begin shipping out in February 2022.
