Square Enix stated that the game will host a wide cast of characters, each of which can be collected as a unique digital artwork.
Square Enix confirmed that the story will be set in its own, self-contained world, meaning this is not a spin-off of one of its popular video game series, such as Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts. Additionally, the value of the in-game NFTs do not end when the game is closed, as Square Enix stated that the NFT artworks can be used on social media and in "an alternate world where the player can 'untangle' a mystery by completing missions that revolve around questions of the monopolization and distribution of resources."
The Japanese game developer and publisher has yet to release concrete details surrounding the release date, gameplay style, or platform for the upcoming game. However, a general release window of 2023 Spring has been given.
