'MATE' Debuted the SUV Electric Cargo Bike with a Recycled Aluminum Frame

The Danish lifestyle e-bike brand MATE has introduced its SUV electric, a sustainable and versatile electric cargo bike with a range of up to 62 miles on a single charge. The bike's frame is made out of 90% recycled aluminium, and is powered by a mid-drive electric motor with a nominal output of 250 watts and peak torque of 66 lb-ft. Additionally, while MATE has not confirmed the size of the SUV's battery, it offers a quoted range of roughly 62 miles per charge with a limited top speed of 20 mph, though this may vary by region.

The SUV offers 210 litres of storage, which can be used to transport cargo or passengers and is equipped with a torque sensor for smooth pedal assist. Other features include 4G connectivity, built-in LED lights, shock-absorbing materials and "wing technology" for easy loading and unloading. The SUV is available for pre-order for 49 euros.
