DoorDash Now Accepts SNAP/EBT Online Payments

DoorDash has announced it will continue broadening food access for consumers by offering consumers the option to use SNAP/EBT online payments with a handful of participating retailers. The grocery delivery brand will now be offering access to food retailers like ALDI, Safeway, Albertsons, Meijer and select 7-Eleven locations for SNAP recipients, which amounts to more than 4,000 additional locations for them to shop from online. The brand will also be providing SNAP recipients with the benefits of a DashPass membership by providing it free of charge for two months to get them started.

VP of New Verticals Fuad Hannon spoke on the DoorDash SNAP/EBT online payments update saying, "We’re proud to partner with these merchants to offer SNAP recipients access to quality groceries conveniently through our platform. Through the power of local delivery, enabling SNAP/EBT payments can make a profound impact on reducing food insecurity and connecting people to groceries and the essential items they need."
