Samsung Wallet and Mercedes-Benz have announced a new partnership that will see Samsung Galaxy smartphone users able to interact with their vehicle directly from their device. The Samsung Wallet Digital Key feature will roll out starting in July 2025 and eliminates the need for physical keys to help drivers streamline their everyday experience. The digital car key capability is made possible thank to the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology inside the smartphones, while also adhering to the EAL6+ security standards to ensure an attention to safety.
The Samsung Wallet and Mercedes-Benz partnership for digital car keys will also enable drivers to share access with friends, family and other authorized persons to help further streamline the ways they can use their vehicle.
