Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific, in collaboration with The Shilla Duty Free Korea, introduced the 'Rose Ice-Hotel' activation at Incheon International Airport. Unveiled on 7 February for Lancôme’s 90th anniversary, this immersive showcase highlighted the brand’s heritage through the artistry of Cai Guo-Qiang.
At its core, the installation featured Lancôme’s signature rose, symbolizing its expertise in beauty. Cai Guo-Qiang, "renowned for his explosive art, partnered with AI model cAI (‘AI Cai’) to craft the centrepiece, Paris Rose." Designed to resemble an icy Parisian hotel, the activation invited guests to explore the Ice Concierge, Ice Arc de Triomphe, and Ice Art Gallery—showcasing Lancôme’s rare archives.
Experiences included the Ice Lobby, an interactive skincare discovery zone, and the Ice Absolue Bar, where the 'Rose on the Moon' fragrance was transformed into a vanilla-infused bingsu. Meanwhile, the VIP Ice Beauty Salon and Ice Bon Voyage Gift Shop completed this luxurious journey.
