The Rivian Quad motor option has been announced by the brand as a new high-performance option for its electric vehicles that will maximize power for off-road adventurers alike. The EV motor option will enable the vehicles to offer 1,025-horsepower and 1,198lb-ft of torque, which will enable them to accelerate from zero to 60mph in 2.5-seconds with the ability to cover a quarter-mile of range in 10.5-seconds. Drivers can enjoy an estimated range of 374-miles per charge, which can be extended to 400-miles when driving in Conserve mode.
The Rivian Quad motor option for the R1 is launching alongside the new Kick Turn feature that will support sharp turns and spins on dirt and gravel to further increase the vehicle's off-road prowess.
