These models feature the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPUs, with a flagship ROG Strix SCAR 18 model featuring RTX 5090 graphics expected later in the year.
The 2026 ROG Strix G16 and Strix G18 gaming laptops are engineered to deliver high-performance gaming across competitive esports titles and graphically demanding AAA games. The machines are supported by advanced cooling systems, including Tri-Fan Technology and vapor-chamber solutions. The displays have been upgraded, with the G16 featuring a 2.5K 300Hz Nebula Display and the G18 debuting a 2.5K 240Hz Mini LED Nebula HDR Display capable of 1600 nits peak brightness.
ASUS Republic of Gamers also introduces tool-less chassis access, which will allow users to easily upgrade components like SSDs and RAM using spring-loaded tabs and Q-Latch systems.
