nendo Celebrates the Wakasa-nuri with its Rassen Chopsticks

nendo works in collaboration with Hashikuru Matsukan to present the Rassen chopsticks made with inspiration from Wakasa-nuri. Wakasa-nuri is a traditional lacquered chopstick that is known to be one of the hardest to use, yet most beautiful.

The duo created the Rassen with a heritage influence and modern twist as the unique design is joined together to form a single unit. They can be detached when they need to be used and rest as a single item rather than two separate pieces. When the two sections are pulled apart, users will see the unique spiraling twist at the wooden handles. It presents a jigsaw-puzzle like experience and also helps with making sure that one does not get lost.
