Quorn Salt & Pepper Tenders are Inspired by Chinese Takeout

The Quorn Salt & Pepper Tenders are headed to the UK from the plant-based meat brand as a new product for consumers to try out that's crafted with Chinese takeout in mind.

The product features the brand's signature plant-based chicken alternative that's covered in a Chinese cuisine-inspired five-spice blend along with salt and pepper to give each bite ample flavor. This encourages consumers to enjoy them on their own, in their favorite recipe and as an alternative to conventional takeout options. Shoppers will be able to find them at Waitrose with Asda and Morrisons receiving stock starting April 14, 2025.

Consumer Director at Quorn Foods Gill Riley commented on the Quorn Salt & Pepper Tenders saying, "Chinese food is one of the most popular takeaway foods out there and we have developed an incredible product that will add excitement to the fixture with a flavour that is already loved by the nation. Our focus in 2025 is on making meat alternatives a truly positive protein choice as we bring more shoppers into the market. Our Quorn Salt & Pepper Chicken Tenders will do just that. They’re an easy entry point into the category as they allow shoppers to create a delicious and healthier version of their favourite takeaway at home with a simple swap, that’s also better for the planet – what’s not to love!"
