Plymouth Honey has been announced by Pernod Ricard-owned Plymouth Gin as a new expression that builds on the distillery's prowess with its signature spirit for curious enthusiasts alike to try out.
The spirit starts off with the brand's original recipe from 1793 for a keen attention to authenticity and is paired with honey to incorporate delicately sweet tasting notes. The spirit is thus reported to have golden honey and vanilla tasting notes that evolve into juniper and citrus notes on the finish. Bottled at a 41.2% ABV, the gin is arriving this June in bottles priced at €42.
Global Brand Director Toni Ingram commented on Plymouth Honey saying, "Honey has surged in popularity across many spirit categories, however, very few have taken on the challenge in gin. We have and we are sure it will create a buzz. Our consumers are increasingly interested in exploring innovative flavour profiles. What better than with an exciting new flavoured gin that uses the highest quality ingredients and remains true to the tradition behind the timeless taste of Plymouth Gin?"
