Google Introduces New Multi-Search Tool For More Dynamic Googling

Google has officially introduced Multi-Search, a new search feature that allows users to combine images and text to search for things online. The tool looks to remedy a common search engine problem: sometimes users are searching the internet for something that can not be described in just a handful of words.

Now, users will be able to search for things based on a combination of Google images and additional text. For example, a user could use a Google image of a new sneaker to search for a similar product, while adding information through text, such as a release date (e.g. 2022). Currently, the feature is being beta tested in English in the United States

"With multi-search, you can ask a question about an object in front of you or refine your search by color, brand, or a visual attribute," explained the president of Google Search, Liz Reid.
