Virtual care provider Elektra Health and insurance technology firm Oscar Health have collaborated on an inaugural menopause health plan called HelloMeno. This insurance offering is specifically structured to address the healthcare needs of women during perimenopause and menopause and will be available for selection on the Affordable Care Act marketplace.
The coverage offered by HelloMeno includes no-cost consultations with primary care physicians and gynecologists, complimentary laboratory tests and bone density scans, and fully covered hormone replacement therapy and medications for sleep disturbances. A central feature of the menopause health plan is continuous access to a specialized clinical team from Elektra Health. The plan also incorporates a system of financial rewards for completing preventive health screenings and is designed to be a comprehensive insurance option for entire families.
