Nintendo Announced 'Mario vs. Donkey Kong' Inspired by GBA Games

Nintendo has announced a new game in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series, which is a puzzle-platformer franchise that debuted on the Game Boy Advance in 2004. The game is simply titled Mario vs. Donkey Kong and will be released on February 16, 2024 for the Nintendo Switch. The game is a remake of the original Mario vs. Donkey Kong game, which was inspired by the classic Donkey Kong '94 game for the Game Boy.

The game features 3D graphics and updated visuals for Mario and Donkey Kong, as well as local co-op gameplay for two players. The gameplay involves controlling Mario and his partner (either Toad or another Mario) to collect Mini Mario robots and reach the goal in each level, while avoiding obstacles and enemies. The game also features boss battles against Donkey Kong, who tries to stop Mario from rescuing his toys. The game will cost $39.99 USD and will be available both physically and digitally on the Nintendo eShop.
