A team of designers, comprised of Eunhye Jang, I Jeongsu, Yun a Jang, and Yunjae Shin has created the Legit Walking Aid, which enables patients to reach the walking stage of recovery. It helps them train while benefiting from expert-level oversight. At the root of the design is the functionality, as it features a seamless integration of artificial intelligence and wearable technology.
This means that it can provide real-time feedback, adaptive support, and remote monitoring -- these are tailored to each patient based on their condition. Powered by AI, and before the training event starts, patients attach the wearable EMG sensor patch to their calf or thigh. This then detects muscle activity and communicates with the walking aid.
