The Flyer L885 E-Bike can Replace a Car's Amount of Storage

Flyer launched a new e-bike titled the 'L885.' What is unique about the L885 is that, rather than focusing on off-roading, range, or speed, Flyer sought to focus on cargo capacity and maximum payload. As a result, the L885 is nearly capable of replacing a car's amount of storage through its multiple mounting racks and its heavy 181kg, or nearly 400lb payload capacity.

The bike features a center rear rack with two lower racks on the sides. The rear rack is modular with the option of carrying additional passengers, such as children, and using the lower rack as a footrest, allowing customers to attach a large storage compartment on the rear. Regardless of the choice, though, there is a second modular rack above the front wheel, allowing for even more storage compartments. According to Flyer, this e-bike is perfect for city commuters who want to carry large payloads without always having to bring a car.

The bike is powered by a 500-watt motor and supplied by a 687-Wh battery resulting in a 50-mile range and an adjustable max speed that will vary greatly based on payload weight.
