These McDonald's Ads Take People Back in Time to Escape Inflation

With people feeling the pressure of inflation and the rising global cost of living, agency NORD DDB created the Deals Stuck in Time campaign to transport people back in time to save money with old McDonald's ads.

By using Google Street View, people can find McDonald's ads more than a decade old across Sweden. Upon finding these ads, people are invited to claim the savings where the deals have been immortalized. Old McDonald’s out-of-home advertisements, dating as far back as 2009, can now be revisited on the navigation tool.

With this campaign, people have the chance to escape inflation by going back to a time when a cheeseburger was 10 Swedish kronor (a dollar.) The time-traveling deals are being shared as part of audio, film and social media campaigns exclusively throughout Sweden.
